The multi-genre Latin festival is now cancelled – Daily News

The Latin multi-genre music festival Bésame Mucho, originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 21 at Dodger Stadium, has been canceled.

Promoters announced the cancellation in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon, citing “circumstances beyond our control.” They added, “We take great pride in our annual celebration of exceptional music and culture, connecting generations in a way no other event can. After working tirelessly all year to bring you another unforgettable show in December, we are deeply disappointed to share this news.”

Fans who purchased passes will receive automatic refunds to their original method of payment within 30 days, according to the statement.

The festival, which was set to be headlined by Shakira, Pitbull, and Los Tigres del Norte, faced challenges after Shakira postponed her 2024 arena tour to 2025 for a stadium tour instead. According to Rolling Stone, the festival was intended to be part of her U.S. tour, which had been slated to kick off in November.

In addition to the headliners, the single-day event was set to feature an impressive lineup, including Juanes, Elefante, Hombres G, Pesado, Banda MS, Gloria Trevi, Elvis Crespo, Paulina Rubio, and Los Tucanes de Tijuana. This year’s edition would have marked the third installment of Bésame Mucho, which debuted in 2022 with acts like Juanes, Caifanes, Los Ángeles Azules, and Sin Bandera.

Earlier this year, promoters expanded the festival to Austin, Texas, with an event planned for April at the Circuit of the Americas. That lineup features headliners such as Peso Pluma, Carin León, Los Tigres del Norte, and Tito Doble P, alongside artists like Pepe Aguilar, Eden Muñoz, Banda MS, Elvis Crespo, and Argentinian singer Cazzu.

The Los Angeles edition of Bésame Mucho in 2023 featured headliners Mana, Los Bukis, and Gloria Trevi.
