Start times set for Dodgers’ first two NLDS games

The Dodgers will be working the late shift when they open the postseason this weekend, as expected.

Game times for the first two games of the Division Series round were announced by MLB on Tuesday. The Dodgers will be the last game on the schedule each of the first two days.

Game 1 of their best-of-five National League Division Series is Saturday at 5:38 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium.

Game 2 is Sunday at 5:08 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.

The Dodgers’ opponent will be the winner of the Atlanta Braves-San Diego Padres Wild Card Series, which started Tuesday night in San Diego.

It will be the Dodgers’ 12th consecutive postseason appearance and either opponent will be a familiar one.

The Dodgers faced the Padres in the NLDS round twice in the previous four years, sweeping them in 2020 on a neutral field in Arlington, Texas, and losing to them in four games in 2022.

The Dodgers and Braves have met four times in the past 11 postseasons.

The Dodgers beat them in four games in the NLDS in 2013 and again in 2018 then faced them in the 2020 NL Championship Series and overcame a 3-1 deficit to win in seven games. In 2021, the two teams met in the NLCS once again. This time, the Braves prevailed in six games on their way to a World Series title.
